THE THREADBENDER OFFERS MUSEUM QUALITY PRESERVATION

After your wedding day, an Archival Preservation of your precious gown and veil is in order. All you need to do is drop off or ship your gown, veil and any other items to be preserved to The Threadbender and we’ll do the rest! We will discuss the spills and stains and the best techniques for cleaning your gown. If there is a crinoline sewn into your gown it will be removed, hand washed and packaged separately. If you choose, we can package your crinoline inside the box. After your gown is cleaned, it will be gently pressed or steamed and then be hand packaged so your gown and veil will be preserved for the next generation.

We will package your wedding gown utilizing the same techniques museum conservators use to extend the lifetime of their textiles from 75 to 200 years or more.

Our hope is to preserve your lovely gown so it can one day become a beloved heirloom, having been worn by generations of Brides.
